Global Mutual Collaboration, Meine Zeit bei der Superb Catalyst Academy

When I boarded my flight to Nepal, with the prospect of working in the Superb Catalyst Academy I honestly had no idea of what to expect.

My mind was full of questions, what would I be doing, how would the school be organized, how many responsibilities would I have, would I be able to do what was expected of me and more than anything; how will the people be??

I found an answer to all of these questions during my time at SCA and I found answers to questions I didn’t even think of asking myself, but on the other hand, also an inspiration to ask new questions and a new and different point of view. The Kids or young adults are amazing. They are so open and honest that I felt instantly welcomed, they have so many questions, such open minds and inspirational own ideas. Spending time with them was one of the most amazing things of my whole life. The same goes for the teachers, and especially

The same goes for the teachers, and especially Ajoy and Bina, the mind and the heart behind the School. You can see daily how they struggle to give the students the education they deserve, to create a positive environment for them so that they can prosper and learn and grow into critically thinking adults that will positive change. They welcome volunteers into their house and into their family in such an open way that you can

They welcome volunteers into their house and into their family in such an open way that you can’t not feel at home. I especially enjoyed the celebrations during Dashain and Tihar festival where we volunteers could experience a unique part of the Nepalese and Hindu culture. By the way, the Kids are also always up to explain many things about their beautiful country and equally eager to hear about your home country. At least after a rapid game of tigers and lions or volleyball. The memories I have from my time at SCA are something close to my heart and will always stay there. The memories I have from my time at SCA are something close to my heart and will always stay there. All the experiences helped me to learn about life, the world and also about myself. They are something that inspire me to be thankful (a feeling that I had every single day during my stay in Khanikhola), and will forever have shaped my path in life.

Thank you to everyone who made my time so special,
